Feb. 2005 Senator Peggy Palmer Receives Courageous Conservative Award" KRA (Kansas Republican Assembly) presented their annual award to Senator Palmer based on her conservative principles and her campaign determination.

It is truly an honor and a pleasure to represent the 16th District and to share this award with everyone back home," Palmer said.

Governing magazine featured Senator Palmer and Pastor Joe Wright, of the Central Christian Church in Wichita in their August, 2005 edition.
The article "Church and State" focused on the influence the "Christian right" has on elected officials. This article stemed from last year's attention of the Marriage amendment that was passed in the Kansas Legislature.
